Highfield Level 3 Diploma for Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security

The Level 3 Diploma for Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security was the first officially recognised Locksmith Qualification (governed by Ofqual) within the Locksmith industry.

Completing the Locksmith Qualification with Keytek® at our purpose-built training academy means that you will hold an official Locksmith Qualification and will be trained to the highest standards by our professional Locksmith tutor. This course is perfect to start to your Locksmith career and for those looking to gain an official Locksmith Qualification. Our Locksmith course is ELCAS approved, so you can use your Enhanced Learning Credits to begin your new career after leaving the military.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is by far the best course I've ever attended. It is an excellently fine-tuned course, with adequate hands-on experience and theory.

I attended the 8 day course, and I've got to admit that I certainly have left with a significant amount of confidence in the topics that were delivered.

The classroom was always clean, tidy, presentable and the kettle was always piping hot when you first walked in. A big thumbs up from a avid tea drinker.

Tom was also excellent. His ability to instruct is exceptional. His trade knowledge was clear, and his enthusiasm, passion, and drive in this career stream were clear. Tom always gave enough time on task, supported and developed, and ensured that you learned from your mistakes in a constructive and positive manner. He just needs to work on his dad jokes.

It was also funny watching locks pick themselves when they saw him walking towards them. Which blew my mind at the speed in which he could gain entry into locks!

The food provided on the course was also exceptional.

Would I recommend. Without a shadow of a doubt. Take that next step and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Tom and Luke are excellent trainers with around 20+ years experience. The course is perfectly structured for those who want hands on learning. I will be keeping an eye out for additional courses through them.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I attended a 1-day non destructive course and it was the single most enjoyable learning experience I think I’ve ever had.

Firstly credit goes to Tom the course instructor and master locksmith, he was super friendly and attentive from the outset, his knowledge of the industry was vast and there wasn’t a question that he couldn’t provide a comprehensive and logical explanation for.

Working for a well known housing association I needed some fast, reliable methods of gaining entry to different styles of locks without causing damage and this is the perfect introduction to that.

WARNING! You will leave this course with a superhero complex 🤣🤣

All jokes aside, thank you Tom and key tech for a great experience and a fantastic lunch 🥪 I will be returning very soon to take my James Bond skills to the next level:))

Outstanding Training Experience at Keytech Locksmith Academy

I recently completed my training at Keytech Locksmith Academy, and I can confidently say it was one of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had. Training: Our instructor (Tom) was competent, professional, experienced and most importantly, patient to the varied learning needs & abilities of all of us throughout. A naturally gifted teacher (But mediocre comedian. Keep working on those dad jokes 😉)

Outcome: There is a lot left to be learned and a lot of experience yet to be gained but I have left the academy confident in my foundational abilities to begin my new career as a locksmith.

So how do I become a qualified Locksmith? Our Locksmith course comprises of 14 separate units, all of which are essential to becoming a Locksmith. The course is separated into 2 sections:

Practical 8 Days of the Locksmith Course

Taught in our purpose-built facility with a maximum of 4 students on each Locksmith course you’ll learn practical Locksmith skills. Our expert trainers are on hand to ensure that each student gets a full understanding, and the dedicated time and support to excel in their new skillset.

Covering the essentials such a lock types, picking, entry techniques and fitment, the course is designed to show you the knowledge and skills necessary for a Locksmith.

You’ll also learn advanced tips and tricks about garage doors and commercial locks, whilst also given plenty of time to go back over skills you have learned to ensure that you are fully comfortable with the content on our Locksmith course.

What’s more you will also be given industry scenario training to help get you ready for your first Locksmith job on a customer’s door, which we know can feel daunting if it is your first time in this scenario.

Upon successful completion of this section of the course, you will gain the Advanced Certificate in Locksmithing Level 4*

Understand how a range of different lock types work and operate

Distanced Learning

Supported by a dedicated online portal, you’ll be guided through evidence collection to show that you can practically apply what you have learnt on the locksmith course. Much of this gathered during the practical 8 days of the locksmith course, with any additional evidence supported through examples and templates accessible on the portal.

Upon successful completion of this section of the Locksmith course, you will be awarded with a Highfield Level 3 Diploma for Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security – a full Locksmith qualification.

We are ELCAS providers, so if you are a military leaver and are entitled to Enhanced Learning Credits through ELCAS, you can use your funding to begin your new career as a Locksmith.

We are one of the only ELCAS providers to offer the Highfield Level 3 Diploma for Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security and also offer the unique opportunity to join an industry that is engaging, diverse and offers plenty of career development.
