2 Day Non-Destructive Entry and uPVC Course
The Keytek® non-destructive entry and uPVC Locksmith course covers all aspects of non-destructive entry to uPVC and wooden doors, including bypassing and picking, and a thorough overview of uPVC door locks and mechanisms.
Non-Destructive Entry Learning Outcomes
- Understand the principles behind how different locks function and common security features
- Master various non-destructive techniques such as picking, raking and bumping on a range of locks, including cylinders and lever locks.
uPVC Door Lock and Mechanisms Learning Outcomes
- Identify different types of uPVC door and window locks
- Learn non-destructive entry techniques specific to euro / oval cylinders and uPVC mechanisms*
- Accurately measure cylinders, uPVC mechanisms and handles for replacement / fitting
- Gain proficiency in refitting uPVC mechanisms and handles to maintain the integrity and security of the locking system
- Understand the common issues with window locks and how to address them effectively
- Explore additional security measures for enhancing the protection of uPVC doors and windows
*Whilst the course is primarily focused on non-destructive techniques, essential destructive techniques may be taught depending on the ability of the students.
